ADULTS

Learning Together

Opportunities for education and discipleship abound in this community for those of all ages. From our extensive Sunday morning classes to regular offerings like monthly Faith on Tap gatherings, seasonal Bible studies and other fellowships; from our annual Spencer and Flora Murray Lecture series that brings in well-known theologians, biblical scholars, and church innovators to a wide variety of offerings on a monthly basis through our University of First Presbyterian program, there is a place here for you to explore, deepen and stretch your faith.


ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

Our classes meet weekly throughout the church building from 9:30-10:30am. All are invited to join in the conversation! Listed here you can find the name of the class, a general description, and where they typically meet. During the summer, we typically meet together as a group in the gym/lecture hall. 

YOUNG ADULTS

Typically made up of adults in their 20s-30s, this class is interested in exploring basics of Scripture, theology, and spirituality, while discussing together where these integrate with everyday life.  

SOJOURNERS

A combination of families and singles, married or divorced, with children or without, this group of 30, 40, 50-somethings engage discussion on a variety of subjects including current events, in-depth Scripture study, family issues of faith, and topics in theology. This class meets in the Christian Education Building, Room CE 120.

PATHFINDERS

Interested in a variety of subjects, this class meets for engaging discussions on topical studies in Bible and theology, with speakers from within the congregation and those in the wider community. As a bonus, they have also made it a practice to break bread together, sharing breakfast weekly. More on this class and their various activities can be found at their website, www.fpcpathfinders.com. This class meets in the Main Building, Room 331.

SEEKERS

This group of active older adults is interested in a wide variety of subjects and often invites guests from in and around the wider community to share their knowledge. The primary focus is on theological study and current events. This class meets in the Main Building, Room 245.

MCCLAMROCH

This is a class of senior adults that has met regularly for many years. They open each class singing hymns together, and then with the leadership within the class and guest leaders from the congregation they focus on Bible Study using various curriculum of the PCUSA. This class meets in the Main Building, Room 243


ADULT EDUCATION RESOURCES

Adult Ministry resources are available for Sunday School class leaders. There are resource materials kept in our Library, located on the second floor.
