HISTORY: The Senior Health Initiative (SHI) grew out of the number one concern voiced by First Presbyterian Church Shreveport (FPC) members who attended our two North Louisiana Interfaith (NLI) “1000 Conversations/ House Meetings” at FPC from October through November 2025.

MISSION: To respond faithfully to the needs of FPC’s senior (65+) members by helping them organize their healthcare and assisting them with the connection and utilization of community resources.

VISION: Once FPC has successfully attended to our senior members, as seen by measured outcome results, the Senior Health Initiative may serve as a model for others in the Highland District or those affiliated with NLI.
