Director of Spiritual Formation

First Presbyterian Church of Shreveport, Louisiana seeks a faithful, collaborative, and visionary Director of Spiritual Formation to help nurture a Christ-centered culture of learning, belonging, and discipleship. This leader will invite members of all ages into deeper relationships with one another and with Christ, encouraging spiritual growth, faith development, and a genuine desire for a growing life with God. The ideal applicant will be organized, creative, engaging, and gifted in building meaningful relationships.

Working in partnership with pastors, staff, volunteers, families, and lay leaders, the Director will plan and implement Christian education across all generations. Through innovation, hospitality, and thoughtful ministry design, this person will foster spaces where children, youth, adults, and families are equipped to learn, serve, pray, and grow together. The role calls for someone who can nurture discipleship, strengthen community, and help the congregation live more fully into its calling as an intergenerational church committed to worship, study, hospitality, and faithful service.
