First Presbyterian welcomes people of all ages and stages of life. Membership is open to all people who confess Jesus Christ as Lord. You can join the church in three ways:
  1. Profession of Faith and Baptism for people who have yet to be baptized.
  2. Reaffirmation of Faith – for people who are reconnecting to the faith and have already been baptized.
  3. Transfer of a Church Letter – for people who are active in another church and seeking a new church home.
When you are ready to join, you can fill out a membership card located in our pews or you may contact one of the pastors.

Weddings and funerals

Significant Milestones in Life's Journey

Weddings at First Presbyterian Church

We are glad you have chosen to be married at First Presbyterian Church. It is a fitting and beautiful place for such a joyous occasion. Celebrating a wedding in God’s house reminds us of God’s steadfast love for us, and allows us to express our love and thanksgiving to God in worship.

We celebrate the gift of love and the covenant of marriage through worship and commitment. To download our wedding policy, CLICK HERE.

Memorial Services and Funerals at First Presbyterian Church

Presbyterians, as all Christians, believe that death has been conquered by God through Jesus Christ. Death is a solemn and mysterious human experience, bringing painful separation from loved ones and friends. However, we remember the bold claim of the New Testament that in Christ, God is the Victor over death and the grave.

The central doctrine of the Christian faith is the resurrection. “Jesus Christ is risen today” is not only the Easter message, it is the message of every day in the year, and it is the foundation of the life of the church. We believe that, as followers of Christ, we will share in his victory.

We celebrate the assurance we know in the resurrection of Jesus Christ by marking the occasion of death with worship. To download our funeral policy, CLICK HERE.
