Confirmation is a joyful fulfillment of baptismal promises, as those nurtured in the faith as children take the next step towards full participation in the body of Christ. This preparation for full membership in the church happens for younger youth in our Confirmation class. Confirmands meet during the Sunday school hour to learn about Christian and Presbyterian history, reformed beliefs, and the life of faith in our particular church. In addition to class-time youth participate in service projects, worship visits to other congregations, worship leadership, and a weekend retreat. Beginning in November confirmands are paired with mentors, leaders in the congregation, with whom they get together regularly for support and study. The class meets from December-May with confirmation in worship on Pentecost Sunday.
