Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry at First Presbyterian Church is committed to bringing both middle and high school students into a welcoming and authentic environment that allows students to be themselves, ask tough questions, and discover together what life in the Body of Christ is all about. We believe that young people aren’t merely “the Church of tomorrow”, but that their voice and passion aid us in fulfilling God’s vision for the Church here and now. In practicing fellowship, worship, discipleship and mission we experience what it really means to be followers of Christ.

We offer many opportunities for middle and high school students to get involved throughout the year. Below you will find a list of the latest events. Super Start-Up Sunday Information

Sunday school classes for the fall semester will kick off on September 12, with ALL CLASSES gathering in the chapel at 9:45 before moving to their respective meeting places with their teachers.

MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL's focus for fall will be the study catechism: "'Can We Talk?' Conversations for Faith," led by David Butterfield and Frank Dodson. The class will meet in the CE building, room 109.

SENIOR HIGH YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL will begin with a six-week study, "How Much Is Enough?", a look at our consumer-driven society in the light of six Bible stories and parables. Teachers will be Bruce Henderson, Brenda Nims, and Douglas Yoder, meeting in the third floor landing (take the stairs by the office).
