Taize Service

First Presbyterian Church offers evening prayers in the style of the Taize' community on the first Friday of every month, September-May.  This is a service of meditative song, prayer and Scripture reading, marked by an extended time of silence for personal reflection and prayer.  Congregational song is accompanied by a small instrumental ensemble.  The service begins at 5:30 and is held in the chapel.  Nursery care is available for this service.

 

Please make a note that in an effort to avoid conflicts with Labor Day and a Family Mission Retreat, the Taize' service scheduled for September 3rd has been moved to September 10th.  Following months will resume the regular schedule of the first Friday of the month.
