First Presbyterian Day School (FPDS) offers a preschool enrichment program consistent with developmentally appropriate practices of early childhood education. FPDS provide a healthy safe, nurturing Christian environment in which teachers and children together may learn to live in a Christ-like way. 2017-2018 ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
First Presbyterian Day School serves children from 3 months to five years of age during the regular school year. Our hours of operation are from 8:30am to 2:00pm Mondays through Thursdays.
The EARLY YEARS program is designed or children 3 months up to 3 years of age. Parents have a TWO or FOUR day option. This program includes activities that encourage growth in language, social, spiritual, cognitive, and motor development. Our low teacher to child ratio insures personal attention and quality care. Each classroom maintains a two-adult policy with staff certified in Infant/Child CPR and first aide.
Our 4-day K3 and K4 PRESCHOOL program revolves around readiness for kindergarten and beyond for children three to five years of age. Emphasis is placed on developing skills in the areas of:
- Social Interaction
- Fine Motor Coordination (including writing and prewriting)
- Cognition (including letter/number recognition)
- Gross Motor activities
Children in K3 and K4 receive additional weekly enrichment activities including Children’s Chapel, Music and Movement, and Library Story Time. The K4 children also participate in the Children’s Worship Center. Additional information is available under Enrichment Opportunities.

FPDS APPLICATION PROCESS for FALL 2017 • EARLY ADMISSION begins January 23rd-31st for all families currently enrolled in FPDS and active members of First Presbyterian Church. REGULAR OPEN ADMISSION period begins the FIRST Tuesday in February (February 7, 2017) at 8:30am. Waiting lists begin in each class after full enrollment. There is no obligation to be placed on our wait list. Fees can only be accepted if your child can be placed in a class.
