Church Library
In 1952, during a remodeling and enlarging of First Presbyterian Church, it was decided to incorporate a church library. At the time, the Woman's Auxiliary set aside the seed money for the project. Formerly the parlor, next to the current office wing, a space was carved out that would become the library. The library is presently funded by memorial gifts.
The library is chiefly a lending library. Although many church libraries have only religious books, the church's selection includes general library books of fiction, non-fiction, biography, reference for adults, children and teens.
Staffed by church volunteers, the library is open during church office hours Monday-Friday from 8 AM-5 PM. Members may check out books at these times. On Sundays, library volunteers are available from 9 AM-11 AM. Books may be returned or checked out after worship services.
