Rev. Jerry Shetler, Interim Pastor/Head of Staff
JSHETLER@FPCSHREVEPORT.ORG

The Rev. Dr. Jerold David Shetler serves as our Interim Pastor/Head of Staff. Jerry is a preacher, pastor and leader. His experience at several strong churches, including First Presbyterian Church, Linchburg, VA, Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, Dallas, TX, and First Presbyterian Church, Greensboro, NC, combined with his work as interim pastor, makes him a great fit for our congregation. Jerry and his wife, Jane, were living in San Antonio, TX previous to the interim position, close to their three grown children and eleven grandchildren. Jerry and Jane will reside in Shreveport during the interim period at First Presbyterian Church Shreveport. Jerry feels a strong sense of call to serve as our Interim Pastor. He describes himself first and foremost as a pastor, and will use his considerable experience and talents to guide our church through the transition period between installed pastors. He began his ministry here on October 1, 2012.
